At the end of every year I like to look back on the music that’s been released and compile a list that I think encapsulates everything I loved that year in terms of releases. What follows below is my 2013 list, and I’m pretty pleased with it. Some of the albums are ones I’ve reviewed, so I’ve left links beside them that will redirect you, if you’re interested. Each album in the top 20 has a brief reasoning, which I’ve also linked. Sorry it’s in a relatively uninspired list, if I knew how to make it nicer then I would, but I don’t.

This album came out a few days after I posted this list and therefore I didn’t include it, partly because of my own laziness and refusal to take a record out in order to try and slot it in. Still Grandview’s debut was one of the best releases of 2013, and if I had given it a spot it would’ve been number 3 or 4 – it’s that good.
