Following NME’s recent and somewhat controversial list of the 500 greatest albums of all time it got me thinking about what I consider to be my own favourite albums. My selections are by no means the greatest albums of all time, and this isn’t me calling out NME, but I’m a sucker for a good list. So I spent yesterday afternoon expanding my own list, which used to only contain 20 albums. I felt like 20 albums wasn’t really cutting it, and having such a narrow selection excluded a lot of albums I love dearly. I figured 500 would probably be pushing it and no one would be interested in reading a list that long considering I’m not a nationally recognized blogger or run an international music magazine. Still, my list can be found here or on the pages tab at the top of my blog, and I’ve written a little about my top 25. The page itself has received a fair amount of traffic over the last few weeks so it also made sense to update it.
